Darwin

Howdi all and sundry !
As promised, I bring you the final group email of 'the journey' from the place I left on June 2: Darwin, just to let you now I'm still in one piece. Sorry its taken so long, but I've been pretty busy lately: eating, admittedly. Mum makes a mean Christmas pudding.

I've transferred all my photos to Dad's computer, and I've spent some time checking them out. It will take a while to go through them all, as I've got about 1300. That includes a lot of crap of zero interest to anyone else, but there are some good shots of some of you guys, as well. I know there are sites on the net where I can post photos: I'll let you know, or, failing that, I'll email some of them.

Its pretty warm here; 32 C is as cold as its been, during the day. But about 15 mins after this photo was taken a storm broke and the rain poured down for two hours. That's wet season Darwin for you.

What now? I'll be in Darwin for a couple of weeks, at least. Lauren's got a house-sitting gig and I might join her, get the computer up-and-running and dust off The Book.

My other big sister Megan asked if I wanted to stay with her in Cairns (Queensland, NE coast), so I might pop in there on my way 'down south': to Sydney or, maybe, Canberra. I'm still waiting on whether I got into graduate law or economics down there.

If I get in, that should keep me out of trouble for 3 years, at least. I suppose there's always holidays, anyway. Future places on the travels short list: Russia (Moscow again, but through Siberia too), Spain/Portugal (Pilgrims' Walk), Southeast Asia and U.S/Canada. I will definitely be up for traveling with company, for anyone interested. If I'm at uni, holidays will be november-february, which doesn't jell with you Northern Hemisphere freaks, I know.

So ....

I hope you all had a great Christmas and got lots of goodies (food and otherwise) from your families (and got that 'joy of giving' feeling too).

If you're ever in my neck of the woods, there should be a couch, at least, available. How long depends on where and with who I'm staying.

Happy New Year everyone, keep in touch, and take care of yourselves.

Da svirdanya,

Auf wiedersehen,
