Yeah, sorry about leaving the last one mid-sentence. As usual I lost track of time and chose to fire off what I'd done rather than not send anything.
Normally I'd buy more time but I had a night train to catch .... from Gdansk to Sczecin, near the German border. The plan was to get another train from Sczecin to Berlin, which I did (with about 2 mins to spare), arriving here at 6 am this morning. No gassings, though as usual in Poland the conductors woke me up every so often to check my ticket.

All in all, the Poles might have more cash than the Russians-Ukrainians, but I'll take the trains in the later any day. Same goes for Germany.

But I should fill in Poland. In Crakow I went to Aushvitz with one of the numerous Aussies in my hostel. Verz disturbing, as you would expect. Some of the Hitler quotes were amazinglz .... fascist. Going on about how they must create young Germans who are hard, inexorable, cruel, merciless etc. The SS certainlz lived up to that.... Wavel Hill was the other highlight: a castle-monasterz complex that was the seat of the Polish nobility before unification with LIthuania. Heaps of 6 foot swords. Hella cool.

So I just got back from watching Harrz Potter in German. 40 mins of ads before the screening, plus a break in the middle. Go GermanY.....
